I forgot to listen to McGuire’s blab fest last night … that was probably an unconscious defense against going through the misery of listening to his prior telephone townhall again. I heard from a neighbor that he used the “I love you” statement quite often again. Ugh.
I am puzzled by how Republicans nowadays seem to be so bad at arithmetic. I used to think of them as the numbers-focused people but I guess it's the result of decades of education funding cuts.... And they can't even recognize a tax anymore? Mind blown.
It should be noted that the 245,000 miles over the past 6 years means that most of it was spent in his House of Delegates district which is only a small part of the 5th CD.
I am also upset that I was not notified about the town hall. I had written to him twice regarding the need for an in person town hall.
I deeply appreciate your analysis and am grateful that you take the time to communicate to us about McGuire. I looked at the Facebook page of the Amherst County Republican Committee, but could only go so far . . . thank you for your work.
