I just left a message for McGuire: "The last time I felt this sense of dread and horror was when I saw ISIS bombing enormous Buddhist carvings, hoping to obliterate a culture, it's history, and its people. And now our own president is saying he plans to do the same thing. It is unconscionable behavior and I hope that McGuire has the courage to stand up to these reprehensible and unforgivable actions."

Very powerful.

Also sent McGuire: "Where is Congress -- especially the Republicans? Most especially where are you? After trump has gotten the attention of the world, he has told the world exactly what the USA thinks of certain entire populations -- they need to be bombed back to the Stone Age and such -- are major war crimes that what you think your constituency wants? If you think that, what do you base the opinion on? What will you say publicly about this -- does this seem a Christian thing to consider or announce globally? Here's your statement about easter (remember trump's embarrassing easter message) "My wife and I had a wonderful time at this year’s White House Easter Egg Roll. Events like the these highlight why keeping our nation’s capital safe, clean, and welcoming matters for families visiting from the Fifth District and across America." I think you could go a littler deeper into real concerns. What is your red line beyond which you will not let trump pass without publicly saying something against it? What do you think your constituents would support as such a red line and how do you know that? Come on -- your bill to assure some right of way in a ski community near Afton doesn't seem to respond to global chaos unloosed by a loose cannon president under no meaningful Congressional check or balance. Please explain how you letting trump run free will help me or anyone else in Louisa County or anywhere else in our District. This time is a major global inflection point and the best you can do is talk about easter eggs and families visiting DC? Man!"

I have to believe there are Republicans in the district who are serious people and don’t think he’s serving their interests even if they voted for Trump. There have to be, right? (Right?)

Yes -- you are doing an important thing p- keep it going. Reasonable people are out there. I do not know the applications for all this modernity "in the cloud". I do have buckskins, possible bag and smoke pole and allegorically am ready to pursue threats. Anyone who has read or commented on your posts represents an entry point to like minded folk.

It is disgraceful that a former Navy seal would allow a jerk off president to shred the Constitution, commit a war crime, and steal money from the taxpayer in the most in your face manner. Lets hope he is retired in November

Intelligence and morals are not a prerequisite for congress. In most cases, both are liabilities.

I do genuinely believe there must be more Republicans in the district like you (apologies if you no Ionger ID as a GOPer) who are smart and engaged, and want to vote red, but see what a tool and fool McGuire is and want someone better, sharper, more articulate who can advance their goals. Am I nuts?

It's time, folks, to gather like minded.

Boot, et al,

Your call to action and the actions we take seem similar to alleged individualized drone targets the Russians use against Ukrainian citizens. We may benefit from closer coordination and expanding our sphere of influence. Let's get more positive forward momentum and increased numbers supporting that. What can I do to help with that?

I’m all for expanding our sphere of influence! I wish I had a formula for doing it. I do still believe that there’s value in keeping up the calls to McGuire’s (and Kaine’s and Warner’s) offices. Even if it doesn’t change anything he does - he needs to keep feeling heat for what he supports.
